Founded in 2011 as the School of Missouri Contemporary Ballet, the school of Mareck Center for Dance cultivates the artistic and personal development of its students by providing a supportive environment of dance study.
We advance the overarching organization’s mission of transforming lives through dance by offering classes that motivate, challenge, and inspire students of all ages.
Our mission is to transform our community through the joy of dance by providing exceptional performances, professional education, and unique outreach programs. We want to cultivate the artistic and personal development of all of our students, and to help them grow into the best dancers and best humans that they can be.
Our goal is to provide a supportive, motivational, and inspiring environment for our community based on the values of promoting health, provoking joy, building communities, nurturing collaboration, and celebrating differences. We provide a competitive yet healthy structure for dancers that pushes them to pursue continual growth and exploration.
Our pre-professional students have been accepted into some of the most acclaimed dance programs in the country, including: Joffrey Ballet, American Ballet Theatre, Dance Theater of Harlem, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Kansas City Ballet, Louisville Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and more.
