Open Intro to Ballet
This class explores the fundamentals of classical ballet with a focus on finding the joy of movement and listening to the body. Dancers will develop their alignment, musicality, and coordination in a class that balances learning and discussion with follow-along movement to keep them moving and help gain strength and endurance.
Typically for students with 0-2 years ballet experience
Open Beg/Int Ballet
This class is designed to bridge the gap between Intro to Ballet and Intermediate Ballet by developing more complicated barre combinations and introducing new steps in the center. It is great for dancers who did ballet for a few years as a kid or who have gone through Intro to Ballet.
Typically for students with 2-4 years ballet experience
Open Int Ballet
This class is a slightly shorter and more gentle version of an advanced ballet class, with extra attention on slowly learning more complicated center combinations. It is great for dancers who grew up dancing and are returning to it after some time away, or who have taken Intro to Ballet and Beg/Int Ballet.
Typically for students with 4+ years ballet experience
Open Int/Adv Ballet
As the most advanced ballet level, this is a typical full ballet class that would be given to advanced students or company dancers, balancing the joy of movement with the excitement of a challenge.
Typically for students with 6+ years ballet experience
Open Beg/Int Modern
In this class, dancers will learn to use gravity and momentum as movement tools, develop their use of the spine and head, explore how to use the floor to ground themselves, and practice transitioning to and from the floor smoothly. Many students enjoy the relative freedom of modern classes, which supplement ballet training in a wonderful way or can be enjoyed on its own.
All levels, including beginner, are welcome
Open Beg/Int Jazz
In this class, dancers explore musicality and different movement dynamics while continuing to strengthen their alignment. Many students enjoy the high energy movement and music of jazz classes, which supplement ballet training in a wonderful way or can be enjoyed on its own.
All levels, including beginner, are welcome

What should I wear/bring?
Any clothing that you can move comfortably in is great! Some of our open students wear leotards and tights and some wear leggings and a t-shirt, so whatever you choose is wonderful. Clothing that is more form-fitting will help the instructor to correct your alignment and technique, but it is not required. For footwear, ballet shoes, jazz shoes, or socks are all welcome–for socks we recommend choosing ones with 70% or higher cotton content, which is less slippery on our dance floors. Be sure to bring a water bottle to keep with you during class!
Where can I park?
Unfortunately we do not have our own parking area, but there is plenty of street parking around the studio. Be sure to bring quarters!
How do I pay with cash?
To pay with cash, arrive a few minutes early and go check in at the front desk so they can collect payment and add you to the class.

Arrival
Our studio is located at 110 Orr St in the Balsamo Warehouse, along with Range Free and a few other businesses. To find our studios, go to the end of the hallway from the front entrance. The office and Studio B are at the very end of the hallway on the right side, and just before that is another hallway with a drinking fountain and restrooms that leads to Studio A.
Plan to arrive at least 5-10 minutes early to your class to be ready to start on time, or earlier if it is your first time at our studio so you can find everything. If you are more than 10 minutes late to a class, you will not be allowed to participate. This is for your own safety, as all classes start with a warmup and a proper warmup is very important for physical activity.
You may use the restrooms to change before class if needed, and bags and shoes can be placed in cubbies near the studio (in the hallway for Studio A classes or the office for Studio B classes). You may bring valuables into the studio if needed but please try to keep items to a minimum.
Behavior
We do not tolerate bullying, discrimination, or self-deprecating behavior at the studio. Anyone found to exhibit such behavior will be asked to leave the studio.
Please be respectful of your instructors and others in class and leave your phone conversations outside the studio. This applies to text messaging as well. If you must have your phone available for work or personal reasons, please let the instructor know before class and minimize disruption to the class as much as possible.
Please refrain from wearing any lotions or oils the day of your class for the safety of yourself and others sharing the studio, as it makes our floors slippery. This is especially important for classes like modern and jazz that involve floorwork.
Exiting Class
After class, please be sure to gather your belongings in a timely manner. For evening classes, the building is typically locked 15 minutes into the last class–to exit the building, press the green exit button to the right of the front door before pushing the door open.
Class Size
If a class has low attendance (0-2 students) for multiple consecutive weeks, it may have to be canceled. To help us avoid this, invite your friends to take class with you!
Refunds
If you have signed up for a class, you have until 6 hours prior to the class to cancel and receive a full refund. Refunds will not be offered beyond this time frame for classes that you miss. We cannot offer refunds for unused classes on a purchased class package.
If the school has to cancel a class that you have signed up for, for whatever reason, you will be given a full refund.
