Kailey Baker

School Social Media Manager & Instructor

Kailey began her dance training at local studios in Osage Beach, Missouri. Her passion for movement grew when she relocated to Columbia, where she trained at the Columbia Performing Arts Center and Mareck Center for Dance. These experiences, complemented by various summer programs and workshops, have molded her into a versatile artist with a solid foundation in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance.

During Kailey’s three years with Mareck Center for Dance’s Youth Ensemble, she performed soloist roles in classical ballet excerpts and had numerous contemporary pieces created on her. Since then, she has portrayed a Lobster and a Courtier in multiple productions of Karen Mareck Grundy’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, and was a Company Apprentice at the City Ballet Theater, performing multiple soloist roles as well as choreographing and teaching for the school.

Kailey began sharing her love of dance with students at a young age, beginning as a teaching assistant in 2013 and transitioning to be a full teacher in 2022. She teaches ballet, jazz, contemporary, adaptive dance, and creative movement, working with dancers of all ages. Kailey strives to create an engaging and supportive environment, where students can thrive both technically and creatively.
