Chelsea Dodds

Director of Operations
Chelsea Dodds is ecstatic to join the Mareck Center for Dance staff for their 13th season. This Farmington Missouri native began dancing at 3 years old, practicing everything from classical ballet to breakdancing at The Ballet Arts Center under the direction of Kimberly Anderson.

Chelsea moved to Columbia in 2004 to attend Mizzou as a Curator Scholar and Bright Flight recipient. Luckily gifted in math and science, she decided to pursue an Industrial Engineering degree. Shortly after graduation it was decided that dancing and fitness were too important to not pursue. Chelsea became a certified instructor in 2010. She teaches everything from Zumba to Ballet Barre to hundreds of Columbia residents each week at the Columbia Activity and Recreation Center as well as Fit Central Studio.

In addition to teaching fitness classes, Chelsea works with many not for profit organizations including Central Missouri Honor Flight, the Dean Nierling Scholarship Foundation and more. She truly enjoys volunteering and has helped to organize many of their fundraising events each year.
